This is Our Life: Week 8

Theme: Wild Card... it's up to you!

This week is up to you … capture a moment that is special to you, work on a skill or technique you’ve been struggling with … have fun and shoot for you! 

I came across this on Pinterest the other day and it really hit me:

"Don't let yourself become so concerned with raising a good kid that you forget that you already have one."

Sometimes it is so very hard to remember this while making my way around the latest meltdown, but when I read this, it spoke volumes to me.  Even though we have our moments, I know that my girls are kind, caring and loving.  I know that they are respectful to adults and use their table manners.  I know that when I am not hovering over them to remind them to use their manners; they do.  I am constantly reminding myself to keep the big picture in mind. That we are moving in the right direction. We are learning. We are blessed…things, including the kids, are good.

With all of that being said, I am sharing a photo of Natalie that I snapped while accompanying her class on a field trip.  It was while on that trip, that I realized, I am trying so hard to make sure that I am teaching her all of the right things and she is so much more than that!  She sure made me proud and put all of those worries to rest.
