This weekend was full of Anti-base protest around Okinawa. Saturday was our lucky day, and they protested around our base. The protest are peaceful, but it still shakes you up a little bit knowing that there are people protesting our occupancy here on the island. The protesting at the bases Friday and Saturday was gearing up to the "Hands around Futenma" protest. 17,000 protesters formed a human chain around Futenma Air Base to protest it's presence on the island.
